Coroner's Office Goes Pink is officially live! This year our goal is $3,000 — and if we hit it, Coroner David Kintz Jr., Chief Deputy Coroner Don Comstock, Deputy Coroner Molly Hakes, and Deputy Coroner Lea Hamner will ALL be dyeing our hair pink to fight breast cancer!

If you can think it, you can pink it! Help us reach our goal and watch this year's pink hair happen. 💜

High pressure is arriving over the Southwest, and that will cover Colorado through the weekend. High pressure will continue to build over Arizona and the Four Corners, and all the moist air will stay over in the Midwest and down into the Gulf Coast States. The models are showing a little low pressure ripple coming through on Tuesday, with some clouds and a slight chance of showers.

A Sunny And Mild Autumn Weekend Ahead...
Local Foothills forecasts, and a look ahead, on our website.
There may be a little cloud cover for parts of the Foothills on Thursday morning, with a few light showers possible. Skies will clear during the midday hours, turning sunny by afternoon. With the added sun, daytime highs will warm up a little bit, with mostly 60s. We may hit 70° in Morrison. For our Park County locations, highs will stay in the 50s. Temperatures across all of Colorado will go up through the weekend, but it'll stay comfortable.

Rain Likely Through Wednesday Night...
Lower Flooding Risk for the Foothills...
*The My Mountain Town Website Has Your Local Forecast*
Strong low pressure is set to move across southern Colorado on Wednesday. In combination with the batch of moist air from former-hurricane Polo, showers are likely across the Foothills. The best rain chances will be most of Wednesday into Wednesday night. The flood watch has been dropped for the Foothills, given indications of a more southerly track. Most of the rain will fall out on the Colorado plains, where it should benefit our eastern counties quite a bit. As for the Foothills, the forecast is for steady rain and a few afternoon thunderstorms Wednesday. However, flooding isn't likely, with the heavier rain staying off to the east. The low will drift eastward by Wednesday evening. Showers are still likely for us before midnight, but will start to taper off by late evening or during the early morning hours Thursday. Following this system, a big upper-level high pressure area will drop southward out of the Northern Rockies, covering our area with fair and warmer weather through the weekend.

If you’ve been planning to get a hike in at Meyer Ranch Open Space Park, get there before it closes on October 19th for mitigation work.

⚠️NOTICE: Starting October 19, Meyer Ranch Park will be fully closed for forest health work. The closure is expected to continue through spring 2027, weather permitting.

The project will require a full park closure for visitor safety. The main trailhead parking lot and neighborhood access points will also be closed during this time.

The primary goals of this project are ponderosa pine and aspen enhancement and wildfire risk reduction. Flying J Ranch and Reynolds Park provide nearby similar recreation opportunities.

🔶 Including Parts Of The Foothills...
(National Weather Service Denver/Boulder) Flooding caused by excessive rainfall will be possible for the green highlighted areas. A surge of tropical moisture from Hurricane Polo will combine with an upper-level low will bring periods of heavy rain, with possible totals of 1" to 2.5" over the watch area. Street flooding is possible, along with flooding of creeks, streams and dry washes.
