Before you head out, keep in mind that this afternoon we’ll be in a flood watch. Scattered strong thunderstorms are in the forecast with potential for damaging winds and hail.

Rainfall could be from two to four inches an hour with this line of storms expected for the mid-to-late afternoon.

In the meantime, we will see you at Travers this morning!

It’s a drizzly Sunday here in the Borough. Just a heads up for folks as we end the weekend off with a forecast some heavy rain.

While we’re not sure whether there’ll be flooding locally, it’s anyone’s guess as to what Union Avenue will do.

As always, avoid driving through water.

Good afternoon!

Some showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the area this afternoon into tonight.

1) An initial area of showers is affecting the area this afternoon but the threat for any severe weather or flash flooding is very low with this.

2) The main concern is for this evening when a swath of storms currently effecting portions of Ohio will reach our area roughly around 8 PM or so. This line is expected to be weakening as it approaches but could still result in localized flash flooding and severe weather mainly during the 8 PM to 1 AM timeframe as it moves through.

It has been far too long since we formally had Coffee with a Cop. We couldn't be happier to be back with the amazing folks over at Travers Food Market on Thursday, August 20.

Stop by to talk to our officers and have a cup of java on the house. We have a number of new officers who we'd love for you to meet!

Is it us, or do we know how to throw a party?

Thanks to all who came out last night to celebrate National Night Out. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing hosts over at Lansdowne Fire Company, so shout out to them.

The list of thanks is so long, with so many business and individuals contributing in some way. A special thanks to our volunteers who kept the hot dogs boiling, the pizza moving and the iced tea flowing.

This event couldn’t be what it is without the incomparable Larry Albertoli, who even in retirement continues to be the man with the plan.

Thanks to Bobbi and Roxanne in the office for their hard work as well as Officers Burton, O’Doherty and Brolley for being the muscle for the setup and breakdown.

Always thankful for our boss, Magda Byrne - Mayor of Lansdowne Borough, for her endless enthusiasm and support.

We’re grateful our partners in public safety from East Lansdowne Police, Yeadon Borough Police Department, Yeadon Fire Company and Narberth Ambulance.

One rest day and then it’s back to planning for next year!

Lansdowne Police Arrest Fourth Suspect in March Wawa Robbery

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026 the Lansdowne Police Department, with the assistance of the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Delaware County Emergency Response Team, arrested Harlem Cobb, 19, on an outstanding warrant.

Cobb is the latest suspect charged in connection with a brazen daytime strong-arm robbery that occurred on March 13, 2026 at the Wawa located at 67 N. Lansdowne Avenue. During the incident, seven individuals allegedly assaulted and robbed the victim inside the store.

The investigation remains active, and three additional suspects pictured below are still outstanding.

During the ex*****on of the arrest warrant, investigators recovered two fi****ms from Cobb's residence. One of the weapons had been reported stolen from Philadelphia.

Following his preliminary arraignment, Cobb was committed to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.

Cobb is the fourth individual arrested in connection with the robbery. Cristian Ballard, 20, Nathan Rodriguez, 18, and Mahdi Ways, 18, were all taken into custody previously and remanded to the same facility.

The Lansdowne Police Department continues to seek information regarding this robbery and the identity of the remaining outstanding suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sergeant Michael Miller at [email protected]
