📢 IMPORTANT PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS FOR HEALTH FAIR PREPARATION 📢

Please note the following schedule changes due to preparations for and hosting of the Abuse in Later Life Awareness Health Fair at Munson Senior Center:

📅 Wednesday, June 17
🔹 Bingo at the Henry Benavidez Community Center is canceled.
🔹 All activities and events scheduled in the Munson Gym after 12:00pm are canceled to allow for Health Fair setup.

📅 Thursday, June 18
The following areas and activities at Munson Senior Center will be closed or canceled:
❌ All events and activities in the Gym, Game Room, and Meeting Rooms
❌ Stained Glass & Mosaics activities and Open Studio
❌ Quilting
❌ Painting Open Studio
✅ Activities in the North Wing, including Lapidary, Billiards, and Clay, will continue as scheduled.

The City of Las Cruces is grateful for the continued partnership of state leaders who invest in programs and facilities that support seniors and vulnerable residents.

The Eastside Community Center serves as an important senior nutrition and social hub for many residents in the surrounding neighborhood. Funding for the purchase and renovation of this facility will help ensure continued access to nutritious meals, recreation opportunities, delivery services for homebound seniors, and supportive community programs for years to come.

Thank you to Senator Jeff Steinborn and Representatives Angelica Rubio and Rebecca Dow for allocations totaling just over $1 million toward this important community resource.
