Ant Park Fire Update: Monday, August 10th

Expect elevated fire conditions this weekend, as temperatures warm back up, along with increased chances for showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could produce strong wind gusts and lightning that could start new wildfires.

It's the law!

Today, we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Boulder Hill. Thankfully the car took most of the damage. Besides some whiplash and a scrape, there were no injuries that we knew of.

But....

If you see us out on the roadway, wearing our gear with those amazing lights and wee woos on, SLOW DOWN!! We might be smiling but we definitely would rather be at home. But, accidents happen and people need help. That's where we come in. So, if we're smiling and giving you a wave or thumbs up, you're doing great. If we're not smiling, pointing at you, showing you (specifically you) our slow sign and mouthing "slow down", I think we're trying to tell you to... Slow Down!

Air quality readings around the State and region at 7pm 8-9-26. We're going to be in this mess for at least a few more days.

Air quality has slipped into the red. Avoid outdoor activities if you can.

Looks like that breeze out of the north is creating some very poor air quality as we move into the evening. If you can avoid outside activity, please do so.
