​A strong thunderstorm is currently moving through East Central Judith Basin and South Central Fergus counties. If you are in the path of this storm, please stay weather-aware and take necessary precautions.

​Location: Near Hobson (approx. 14 miles SE of Stanford).
​Movement: Moving East at 35 mph.
​Valid Through: 6:30 PM MDT.
​🌪 What to Expect:
​Wind: Gusts up to 50 mph (potential for downed tree limbs and loose objects blowing away).

Showers and thunderstorms develop from north to south today. Localized gusty winds, brief downpours, and occasional lightning will the primary hazards. Those with outdoor plans should prepare for inclement conditions.

A cold front will bring increased shower and thunderstorm activity thru Saturday, most numerous this afternoon and evening. Temperatures warm back up early next week with gusty winds developing ahead of cold front on Tuesday. Showers/storms return heading towards the middle of next week.

Showers and thunderstorms will affect portions of North Central and Central MT Friday afternoon into early Friday evening. At this time we are not expecting severe storms, but lightning could impact some outdoor events or recreation activities. Have a plan should a storm approach.
