One of the easiest ways to support invasive species monitoring is by using iNaturalist. Take a photo, submit your observation, and help connect local findings with statewide monitoring efforts.

During the Eastern Heath Snail BioBlitz, Conservation Districts are encouraged to document observations in their counties and help strengthen Montana's early detection network.

Next week, we're doing a Eastern Heath Snail Blitz! If you can take pics, documenting them on the INaturalist App, that'd be Great!!! The more documentation we have, the better we can inform the public.

Haying season is underway, temperatures are climbing, and it only takes one spark to start a wildfire.

Montana farmers and ranchers can help prevent equipment-caused fires by taking a few simple precautions before heading to the field.

Keep your equipment clean and well maintained. Make sure mufflers and spark arrestors are working properly. Watch for rocks and metal while mowing or haying. Avoid parking equipment in dry grass. And always carry water, a shovel, and a fire extinguisher so you're prepared if a spark does occur.

During field work, take a few moments to check behind you for smoke or signs of ignition.
