📣 FALL SPORTS UPDATE 🏈⚽📣

With fall sports just around the corner, we want to make sure everyone has the most up-to-date information possible.

As many of you know, we are still experiencing issues with access to the Town’s files, which means we currently do not have access to some of the information we normally use to communicate with families.

For the time being, the best ways to stay updated on fall sports are:

📅 Our Google Calendar — We are keeping our Recreation Department calendar updated with practices, games, and other important dates.

🏈 FOOTBALL GAME DAY EQUIPMENT & PARENT MEETING 🏈

We have a couple of important football dates coming up next week!

📅 Tuesday, September 1st
⏰ Starting at 4:30 PM
📍 The Rec Lot!!
We will be passing out GAME DAY equipment to the players.

📅 Wednesday, September 2nd
📍 Before practice
We will be holding a parent meeting and would like ALL football parents to attend. We have some important information to go over with everyone before practice.

🏈 2nd Grade Tackle Football Update 🏈

If your 2nd grader is interested in possibly playing tackle football, they still need to be signed up and have the waiver form signed.

You do NOT have to pay the registration fee YET. Payment will only be required if a decision is made to move forward with 2nd grade tackle football. We expect to have a final decision made by the end of next week.

If your 2nd grader is interested:

• They must be registered and have the waiver signed
• They will be asked to attend practices with the other football players next week
• Equipment pickup: Tuesday, August 25 at 4:00 PM at the Conex
• Practice: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 5:30–7:00 PM at the Rec Lot

We need to see how many 2nd graders are interested before making a final decision and make sure we have enough equipment (we are limited), so please get your child signed up if they are interested ASAP!

If you have a 2nd grade child who may be interested in playing tackle football, please contact Frank at 207-290-7007.

We are currently looking at our options due to lower numbers, and there is no guarantee that 2nd graders will be able to play tackle football. However, we would like to see how much interest there is before making any decisions.

🏈 Football Practice Reminder!

Reminder that both teams have practice tonight from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Rec Lot 160 Lee Rd.

If you have not received your football equipment yet, it will be passed out at 4:00 PM at the Conex.

Also, at the Rec Lot, please park only in the designated parking spots. Do NOT park up by the field unless you are a coach.

We are still taking online and in person registrations for all fall sports this week!!

Temporary Rec Department Update

Due to temporary limitations with our access to the Town’s files and systems, including the files where Rec Department registrations and parent contact information are stored, we are currently unable to access our sports registration lists and parent email groups.

At this time, the only Recreation Department service I am able to provide is accepting payments for fall programs. Unfortunately, I am unable to send out group emails or provide some of our usual sports updates until further notice.

I apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this may cause. This is not a decision being made by the Recreation Department, and I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work through the current situation.

I will continue to share any information I am able to through this page as soon as I can. Thank you for your understanding.
