πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Bike Rodeo Success! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

We had a great time at the Bike Rodeo, helping young riders build their skills, confidence, and knowledge of bicycle safety. Events like this are a great opportunity for kids to practice safe riding habits while having fun.

A special thank you to Officer Nic Milner for stopping by and assisting with the event. His help and interaction with the participants helped make the day a success.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Shawn Rogers for organizing and coordinating the event. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to make an event like this happen, and Shawn’s dedication helped ensure a fun, safe, and successful day for everyone involved.

Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and supporters who came out. We look forward to continuing to promote bicycle safety and building strong community partnerships.

πŸš” The Radar Trailer is Back Out on the Streets! 🚦

Our radar trailer is back in action and helping us keep an eye on traffic speeds around town.

While the flashing speed display is a great reminder for drivers to slow down, the trailer also collects important traffic data that helps us identify problem areas and peak times for speeding complaints. That information allows us to better plan patrols and focus enforcement efforts where they’re needed most to improve safety for everyone.

You’ll continue seeing the trailer around Lincoln throughout the summer and fall. If there’s a location you’d like us to place it next, drop your suggestions in the comments below! πŸ‘‡

At the Lincoln Police Department, we recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental health affects everyone β€” our families, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and first responders. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and checking in on one another can make a real difference.

This month serves as a reminder that support is available, conversations matter, and no one has to face challenges alone.

We encourage our community to:
β€’ Check in with family and friends
β€’ Take time for your own mental wellness
β€’ Reach out for help when needed
β€’ Show kindness and understanding to others

To those who may be struggling β€” you are not alone.

If you or someone you know needs immediate help, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Together, we can continue building a safer, stronger, and more supportive community.

All of us at the Lincoln Police Department would like to take a moment this Memorial Day to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Today is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends, we encourage everyone to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the heroes who gave everything for our country.

From all of us at the Lincoln Police Department, thank you to our fallen service members and their families. We remember, honor, and will never forget your sacrifice. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
