250 Items for America’s 250th! 🇺🇸

That was the vision of Bismarck American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1 as they looked for a special way to support the residents of the North Dakota Veterans Home in honor of our great nation’s 250th anniversary.

These dedicated Auxiliary members organized a drive to collect 250 items from our wish list and then personally delivered the generous collection to our Veterans!

They also brought along a generous donation from ND American Legion-Bismarck Legion Post 1, adding even more meaning to their visit.

To the members of Auxiliary Unit 1 and American Legion Post 1: Thank you for your heart for Veterans and for putting that appreciation into action! ❤️🤍💙

This year's North Dakota American Legion Baseball Tournament was held right here in our hometown of Lisbon, making the experience even more special for our Veterans.

Our residents were treated like VIPs with outstanding seating, convenient parking, and a special invitation to take the field and be recognized for their service.

A heartfelt thank you to McLeod Hauge Memorial VFW Post 9067 and Auxiliary for sponsoring meals and snacks for our residents; they were thoroughly enjoyed!

One of the most meaningful moments of the day came when the players from LaMoure Post 19 took the time to shake the hand of every Veteran. That simple gesture of respect spoke volumes.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable hometown event. We are proud of our community and grateful for the incredible support shown to our Veterans. ❤️🤍💙

When we were looking through the photos from our second trip to Riding For Dreams Adaptive Riding this season, one picture stopped us in our tracks... then another... and another. ❤️

There is something truly special about these horses. Time and time again, they seem to know exactly who could use a little extra love and comfort. The quiet connection between these gentle souls and our Veterans is nothing short of magical.

Some moments don't need words. They are simply a quiet reminder of the incredible bond between people and animals.

Another great outing in the books! ☀️ A huge thank you to Crooked Lane Farm for treating the residents of the North Dakota Veterans Home to an unforgettable day. From letting our activities bus cruise through the car show to treating our residents to unlimited golf cart rides, your hospitality was second to none. Our Activities Director, Amanda, summed it up perfectly: your team was "kind" and "helpful." Thank you for making our Veterans feel so special. We truly appreciate your generosity and support!

Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon has always shown tremendous respect for our nation's veterans, but they truly outdid themselves this time!

They recently created a dedicated, accessible viewing area so veterans can comfortably enjoy the races. It's a thoughtful gesture that reflects the deep appreciation our community has for those who served.

The veterans from the North Dakota Veterans Home are incredibly grateful. Thank you, Sheyenne Speedway, for going above and beyond to honor our heroes!

🇺🇸Today, we celebrate the freedom we enjoy because of the brave men and women who answered our nation's call.

God bless the Veterans who call the North Dakota Veterans Home their home today, those who lived here before them, and those we will have the honor of caring for in the years ahead.

It is a privilege to serve those who have served us. May God bless our Veterans, our military, and the United States of America.
