The first ambulance services were created to transport wounded soldiers during wartime — and the word “ambulance” actually comes from the Latin word ambulare, meaning “to move or walk.”

This photo is from October 1st 1967 when the telephone company turned on our "Emergency" line to John and Enid Ringdahl's house in Fergus Falls and Ringdahl Ambulance was born.

Today, EMS professionals provide everything from lifesaving emergency care to community health support 24/7. 💙
