As the seasons change and summer settles in, routines shift, and we spend more time with the people around us. It’s a good time to check in on ourselves and our relationships.

Unhealthy behaviors don’t take the summer off. Control, isolation, and feeling like you’re walking on eggshells are still signs that something isn’t right.

Healthy relationships should feel safe, supportive, and steady no matter the season.

If something feels off, trust that. You’re not alone. Reach out we are here to help.

We are so proud of Myah! She will soon be transitioning from her role as Victim Witness Coordinator into her new position as a therapist here at ARN.

Myah earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science from NDSU and has recently completed her Master’s of Social Work program at UND! So yes, she’s officially both Bison and Sioux (we’ll let her decide which side she’s on 😉).

Myah brings so much to our team, not only her knowledge and dedication to helping others, but also her kind heart, sense of humor, and the ability to make people feel comfortable and supported. When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with her husband, dog, and cat (who we’re pretty sure run the show). Fun Fact about Myah? She prefers her leftovers cold.

We are so excited to have Myah here full-time and know she will make an incredible difference in our community!

The Coordinated Community Response Team continues working to strengthen prevention, awareness, response, and access to resources for individuals and families across our community.
Yesterday we spent a little time together ready to visit with community members, answer questions, and talk more about the work being done across our area. It may have been cold and windy, but we are thankful for opportunities to connect, collaborate, and continue building a stronger community together.

And the winner of the door prize is Sarah Smedshammer! Let us know if you want us to drop off!

Courtney was sharing an Empower Hour class story at lunch today. The lesson was for listening and communication with different forms of communication. They were talking about silent movies and one student said " is this what movies were like when you were a kid?"
Thanks for the laughs today 7th graders!
