Metroplan Metroplan is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Central Arkansas. Central Arkansas is growing. Change is inevitable.

The first question Metroplan asks every day is how to plan for that growth. Metroplan’s goal is to ensure that those changes are beneficial to the economic health, growth, and vibrancy of our region. In a global economy, our metropolitan region is in competition with every other metropolitan region on earth. The smarter we plan for the future, the better prepared our communities will be. ’s role in this effort is to provide a regional forum for solving common problems and seizing common opportunities. Metroplan serves the core of central Arkansas – with an emphasis on Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, and Lonoke counties. Metroplan is also the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization responsible for the transportation planning process in central Arkansas.
