The ongoing water service line replacement project will continue this month, with work shifting to Michigan Avenue following completion of the current phase on Burlington Avenue.

F&K Construction will begin contacting Michigan Avenue customers on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, by phone and/or by knocking on doors. Customers identified as needing a water service line replacement will be contacted to schedule their installation.

Work on Michigan Avenue is expected to begin Monday, September 14, starting in the 400 block and progressing toward the 1700 block.

Each water service line replacement is expected to be completed on the same day it is scheduled. Restoration work, including concrete, asphalt and lawn repairs, will generally be completed within approximately two weeks after the replacement is finished, weather and other conditions permitting.

The current water service line replacement work on Burlington Avenue is scheduled to be completed by Friday, September 11.

During construction, sections of Burlington and Michigan avenues may be reduced to one lane. Drivers should expect brief delays and use caution when traveling through work zones.

Check this out! We’ve got some pretty cool tech being used for an upcoming relining of old sewer infrastructure!

No digging required! The cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology to rehabilitate aging sewer lines is essentially creating a new pipe inside the old one without digging everything up.

One of the biggest pieces of the project? Relining a 30-inch sewer line beneath the Eel River!

Less excavation, stronger infrastructure, and better protection for local waterways! Read the full release on the upcoming project on our website!!
