EmpowerLA is Hiring!
EmpowerLA is hiring an Election Assistant for the upcoming Neighborhood Council election season! This temporary, as-needed position will support EmpowerLA with awareness and engagement initiatives to promote the Neighborhood Council system and the Neighborhood Council elections process.
EmpowerLA hopes to staff this role from October 2026 through February 2027, with a minimum of 10 hours per week. The Election Assistant may be required to attend in-person meetings, events, and/or other EmpowerLA, Neighborhood Council, and/or City of Los Angeles activities, though there will be an opportunity for remote work opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this role will come with a passion for civic and community engagement, graphic design and social media know-how, and strong communication skills. Experience with digital and email marketing platforms, the Neighborhood Council system, local government, electoral campaigns, and/or grassroots organizing is highly preferred.
Selected candidates will be expected to comply with EmpowerLA’s brand and style guide policies, including the prohibition of AI-generated visuals, graphics, or written copy in externally facing materials. Please note to any conflict of interest, the Election Assistant is unable to serve on or run for a seat on any
