🥛🐮 June is Dairy Month!

Did you know that the USDA Special Milk Program (SMP) provides reimbursement to child care agencies and eligible camps for the milk they serve to children?

Milk options available through SMP include:

✅ Children age 1: Unflavored whole milk
✅ Children ages 2–5: Unflavored whole, reduced-fat, low-fat, or fat-free milk
✅ Children ages 6+: Unflavored or flavored whole, reduced-fat, low-fat, or fat-free milk

The program helps ensure participants receive the milk they need while providing financial support to participating organizations.

Today, the DPI and the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions are announcing a $300,000 competitive grant program to help support the expansion of financial literacy education statewide. This will greatly help students get a better understanding of finances and also better prepare them for a future outside of the classroom.

Grants may be used to engage students as active participants in financial literacy program development, foster cross-grade collaboration, explore school and community partnerships, and create professional development opportunities for educators.
