Just a reminder that there will be no Bookmobile service on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.

We expect to have the Bookmobile back early next week.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks around here with the Bookmobile away at LDV, Inc., but we don't want to forget to see off our friend Louis!
Louis has been with the Dream Bus and Bookmobile since Spring 2022 and had his last day with us last week.
Please join us in wishing Louis a fond farewell and great success in his next endeavor!

The Dream Bus will cover Wednesday and Thursday routes this week. It should be better equipped for the greater number of visitors we see at Cottage Grove and Brooklyn.☺

Bookmobile, Jr. reporting for duty!
The big bus is in Burlington for its annual Spa Week at LDV, Inc., so the little guy is covering all routes this (and maybe next) week!
Same bookmobile service, just a little more compact. 😁

Just confirmed!
The 1st Brigade Band will perform at Legion Park (205 S 1st St) in Brooklyn, WI on Saturday, September 19 from 2-3pm!
The program will consist of Civil War era music played on restored, authentic Civil War era instruments.
The event, sponsored by Dane County Library Service and Beyond the Page is free and open to the public.
Please bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

It's hard to believe we just put up our final book stroll of 2026 at Henry Vilas Zoo! This one is called I Took the Moon for a Walk by Carolyn Curtis with illustrations by Allison Jay. It is bilingual in English and simplified Chinese.
