The RoundTrip Smart Trips Challenge is happening all September! 🚶‍♀️🧑‍🦽‍➡️🚌🚴

Anyone 18 or older who lives or works in Dane County can join this free community challenge. Choose more sustainable ways of getting around whenever you can, whether that’s biking to the store, taking the bus to work, carpooling with friends, or walking to an appointment.

Log those trips throughout the month for chances to win in more than 20 weekly and grand prize drawings!

The 2026 RoundTrip Smart Trips Challenge is almost here! 🚲🚌🍂 If you’re 18+ and live or work in Dane County, we want you to join in!

All you have to do is swap solo car trips for biking, riding the bus, carpooling, or walking/rolling whenever you can throughout September. Log four round trips each week and you’ll automatically be entered into prize drawings—with some pretty cool prizes from local businesses up for grabs! 🎉

It’s free to join and a fun extra reason to try a new way of getting around (or keep up the trips you’re already making!).

Not every e-device is what it appears to be. Just because it has pedals or says "e-bike" on the box doesn't necessarily mean it is one. Knowing the differences between e-bikes, e-scooters, and other e-devices can help you choose the right device and understand where you can legally ride it.

Happy National Intern Day to our wonderful intern, Ben Smith! Ben has been spending the summer out and about at community events gathering feedback for our Regional Transportation Plan update and helping create social media reels.
