Ladder 7 responded to home for a smoke detector that wouldn't stop beeping. It turned out the smoke detector was from the 1950s! Ladder 7 removed the detector for the homeowner, but it exposed a hole and wires in the wall.

AE Anliker, pictured here, and the crew of L7 ran over to a local home improvement store, purchased a cover, and installed it over the exposed wires. Don't worry-- the crew also confirmed the home is still equipped with working (and more modern) smoke alarms.
