The Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) was established when President Woodrow Wilson signed the National Defense Act of 1916. Since its inception, Army ROTC has provided leadership and military training at schools and universities across the country and has commissioned more than a half million Officers. Army ROTC is one
of the most demanding and successful leadership programs in the co

untry. For years, Army ROTC has been creating leaders who go on to rewarding careers in the military and civilian worlds. Army ROTC produces approximately 60 percent of the Second Lieutenants who join the active Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard. More than 40 percent of current Active Duty Army General Officers were commissioned through ROTC.

Week 02 is officially underway! As we settle into the semester, we’re taking a look back at how our Wildcat Battalion cadets spent their summer. 🌎

From traveling and competing to trying something new and making memories along the way, our cadets stayed busy both on and off duty.

WELCOME LAB | FIRST LAB OF THE SEMESTER 🐾

K-State ROTC kicked off the semester with our first lab! Cadets came together to welcome new faces, build team cohesion, and bring a little friendly competition to the court with volleyball. 🏐

We also recognized Cadet Morones, Cadet Draves, Cadet Sullivan, and Cadet Stoppel for completing the Norwegian Foot March — 18.6 miles with a 25-lb dry ruck. 🥾💪

A solid start to the semester and an even better start to building the Wildcat Battalion. 🫡

Congratulations to 2LT Joseph on her commissioning into the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸 Surrounded by family and sworn in by her sister, CPT Lanham, U.S. Air Force, 2LT Joseph begins her journey in the Chemical Corps with 2-130th Field Artillery.
