🏈 Your Game-Day EMS Team at K-State Football

When thousands of fans pack the stadium for a K-State football game, Riley County EMS is there to help!

Here’s what game-day EMS coverage looks like:

🚑 12 EMS personnel dedicated to the stadium and parking lots
• Paramedics and EMTs stationed at East and West First Aid Stations
• 2 mobile medic UTVs, one on each side of the stadium, responding throughout the stadium and parking areas
• A dedicated field medical team for emergencies on the field
• An EMT stationed in the upper east section
• An EMS supervisor coordinating medical responses throughout the stadium and parking lots
• 2 ambulances available for patient transport

🚒 Manhattan Fire Department also provides 4 personnel to assist with EMS operations and other game-day needs.

During those early-season games when temperatures are higher and patient volume tends to increase, an additional EMT is added to each first aid station, bringing game-day EMS staffing to 14 personnel.

All of this happens in addition to the crews already on duty and covering the rest of Riley County.

So while you're cheering on the Cats, know that a dedicated team of EMS professionals is ready to respond if you need them.

Riley County EMS Update

📱 Responded to 519 calls for service in June
🤝 Joined a collaborative response app with Riley County Fire District No. 1 to improve coordination during emergency calls called “First Due”
🎓 Congratulations to EMS Division Chief Josh Gering, EMS Deputy Chief Alex Protzman, and Director of Emergency Services David Adams, who enrolled in the Certified Public Manager course to continue developing their leadership skills
🚑 Added CRG (Collaborative Response Graphics) Maps to EMS crew interfaces, providing detailed school floor plans to help first responders navigate emergencies more efficiently
