What I'm about to say may not be perfectly written . This is just coming from my heart not AI . So the past few weeks, we have been out to numerous fires along with our surrounding firefighters from other departments and we have been so very grateful for them. I can't tell you the feeling that you get when you know you are doing something that you don't expect anything for . I will say the courage and unwillingness not to give up is remarkable in these men and women that I fight Fire side-by-side with, their dedication to help a neighbor or someone they have never met is not something you are taught that is something that's already inside them. We had two fires last night at the same time one of them was a very big grass fire and one of them was a house fire unfortunately we were not able to save the house. It was already taken over by the fire by the time we got there. The mother was able to get her daughter out of the house, leaving everything behind .This family that lives there which is a mother and daughter were, so very thankful. Even though they no longer had a house they had each other. I went out to check on this family tonight and it was just amazing. This family reminds me of why we do it day after day. I just would like to follow up with this. I'm so very proud of all of our firefighters. Psalm 27:1: "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
