USDA has invested in some projects, which are already underway. Some of them are happening in Kentucky. The article includes a link to the projects' details. Pretty interesting!

USDA is investing $65 million in 34 Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) projects, which support the development of new tools, approaches, practices and technologies to further natural resource conservation on private lands.

Your newest tree management tool? A selfie 🤳

This fall, Kentucky residents can replace the a Bradford pear with a native one thanks to University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension. The Kentucky Bradford Pear Bounty asks participants to remove a Bradford pear from their property and photograph the cut tree. Then one of seven Martin-Gatton CAFE Extension offices throughout the state will provide a native tree to replace it.
