BankWork$ is a free, eight-week training pathway for participants from underserved communities interested in a career in the financial services field.

In addition to their well-earned program completion certificates, each graduate also received a surprise $250 Gift Card from Kohl's toward the purchase of work attire.

Although 2020 has been a year of unusual change to say the least, its good to know that some things never change: good music, excitement, fun, interactive games, merriment, holiday memories of favorite experiences, gifts & prizes and simply getting to know those amongst whom you labor - we had it all today.

Are you a "techie"...or aspire to be one?

Employ Milwaukee offers an IT Pre-Apprenticeship program also referred to as TechHire IT bootcamp training. To learn more about this program visit: https://www.employmilwaukee.org/Employ-Milwaukee/Programs--Services/Adult-Youth-Programs/TechHire-.htm

Success Story: Aaron M. a career changer and graduate of the IT Pre-Apprenticeship program:
“Being back in the classroom was very exciting for me, and I quickly felt that even after TechHire was done I wanted to continue my education in IT. While in the TechHire IT pre-apprenticeship training, I obtained an internship working on taking apart and working with Chromebooks utilized by students at school districts across the USA. I then obtained another internship in IT Help Desk Support, which I felt was better suited to my skill sets. I continue to work full-time in IT Support while pursuing my Associates degrees in IT Web and Software Development and IT Information Systems Security.”

The TechHire program is a bold multi-sector initiative to empower and train American workers in the information technology field with skills they need, through universities and community colleges, but also through nontraditional approaches like “boot camps” that can rapidly train workers for wel...
