Today MID General Manager Jimi Netniss attended the Modesto Chamber of Commerce Summer Advocacy Series event on water! 💧

He joined Turlock Irrigation District General Manager Brad Koehn and Oakdale Irrigation District General Manager Scot Moody on a panel facilitated by Michelle Reimers to discuss the water management, policy, and sustainability in our region.

MID is thankful for the opportunity to share our stewardship efforts and focus on collaboration and long-term planning to ensure reliable water for our customers and communities.

Happy American Graffiti Weekend!

Please note the downtown Modesto street closures around MID’s office beginning on Friday, June 12 at 3 p.m. for tomorrow's parade.

The Graffiti Classic Car Parade is back this Friday! Join us from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM along McHenry Avenue and downtown for an evening of classic cars, festive fun, and community celebration. Grab a spot along the route and be part of one of our favorite hometown traditions!

Note: The U-turn on McHenry is just south of Briggsmore.

ICYMI: Colored dyes are flowing through MID canals to monitor water flows. They are perfectly safe and harmless! 💧

We apply colored dye to our canals throughout irrigation season to help us monitor water flow. Don't be alarmed if you notice the water change to red, green, yellow or blue in color.

The dye is safe and harmless!

Today is National Dam Safety Awareness Day! The dams that MID owns and operate protect and provide for our community. They are vital infrastructure to help get water to farms, homes and businesses and also provide hydropower, flood control and recreation opportunities.

From monitoring and maintenance to emergency preparedness, the safety and reliability of our dams is a top priority every day!
