Join park staff in the beautiful pond for a morning paddle. Kayaks are available to rent first come first serve. $25 per person or BYO for $15 paddle board or kayak. Arrive at 7:30 a.m.

Here are a few reminders and logistics to be aware of before your arrival at Dos Rios.
• Park staff will issue all kayak participants a one-time backcountry parking pass to be able to park at the kayak launch location. Please follow the signs passed the regular parking lot.
• Speed limit in the backcountry not to exceed 5 mph.
• Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. to allow time for parking and check in.
• All participants must sign a waiver of liability.
• Children under the age of 13 must weigh 30lbs or more and must ride with an adult in a tandem.
• Cash and checks are the only form of payment accepted at this time. Please bring exact change. Single $25, Tandem $50 and $15 Bring your own.
• Photos may be taken by Parks staff and used for the purpose of advertising future or past events.
• Please remember to bring bug spray, sunblock, water, and any other items you need to make your experience more comfortable. State Parks is not responsible for personal belongings and discourages the use of expensive items such as cell phones on the water.
• All participants must wear a life vest. If bringing your own kayak or paddle board, you must provide your own life vest and paddle.
• The last stop for restrooms is located in basecamp.

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the nation, we are also taking a moment to reflect on the history and significance of 5 State Parks found along rivers in the Central Valley!

These parks have been available for all to enjoy as early as the 1950s! Let’s continue to be stewards of these special places so that we can enjoy them for many more generations!
