Student Engagement Student Engagement is a department at Western Oregon University dedicated to providing leadership and involvement opportunities for students.

Student Engagement is a one-stop shop for on-campus student involvement. We offer opportunities to get involved with new student orientation, internships, Discover Leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and so much more! If there is a program you would like to see on campus, we would love to help you make that happen. We are located in the Werner University Center second floor behind the Information Desk.

Tuesday (03/10): De-stress w/ Dinos w/RHA!! Stop by the table in the WUC, or a table in the RHA Office (located in the RSC) and collect some dino merch!!

Wednesday (03/11): CASINNNOOOO NIGHHHTTTTT!!! In The Pacific Room @ 6 pm

Thursday (03/12): Build Your Own Zen Garden!! Come relax, and make your own zen garden to bring home. In the Summit in the WUC, @ 4 pm to 6 pm

Book Launch!!📚

You’re all invited to the book launch of Animist Poetics: Ancestral Trauma and Regeneration. WOU’s very own Dr. Ryan Topper will introduce us to his new book’s major ideas and respond to audience questions. 

There will be light refreshments, Dr. Joel Garza (Music) will play live Mbira music, and a panel composed of Dr. Isidore Lobnibe (Anthropology), Dr. Kathy Espino Perez (Psychology), and Dr. Mike Chasar (Chair of English at Willamette University) will respond to Topper’s talk. It will be a celebration of the liberal arts at WOU!

The event runs from 4-6pm today in the Willamette Room of the WUC.
