Union County Public Schools-School Nutrition Services Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are ServSafe certified and dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requir

ements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Ray and the Carolina Hunger Initiative team visited the UCPS School Nutrition Summer Success Fest on Wednesday, May 20 to gear up for summer meals season! Union County Public Schools will offer FREE summer meals to kids 18 years old and younger starting June 15, 2026. Thank you UCPS School Nutrition and NCDPI School Nutrition for keeping NC kids fed and healthy this summer!
