The Mt. Washington Police Department would like to welcome our newest Police Academy new recruit graduates. Tyce Hornback, Dalton Sego and Daniel Spidle. These three young men just graduated from 20 weeks of basic training academy. They will now start another 12 weeks of training riding with a training officer here in the city. We are very proud of their accomplishment and look forward to them helping keep our community safe. If you see them out, say hello and welcome them to our MWPD family!

Tractor Supply in Mt. Washington had a special event Saturday to encourage animal adoptions. MWPD canine Zeta and officer Best had a great time supporting our local business.

It is heartbreaking to hear about the passing of Officer Ed Johnson. Officer Ed Johnson was a veteran and a lifelong public servant. He served the Mt. Washington Police Department for 5 years as the Bullitt East High School SRO. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

The Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky services 120 counties throughout the state.The CAC provides services to children that are victims of crimes. They have chosen 16 individuals out of hundreds of dedicated individuals to honor for their commitment to the children of their communities.
Detective Tony Morris of the Mt. Washington Police Department was one the the 16 chosen heroes! We would like to congratulate and think Detective Morris for his dedicated service to Mt. Washington!
