Neligh residents and business owners will be receiving notice of this in the mail with the utility bill. All residential garbage totes and commercial dumpsters shall not be overfilled. If the lids cannot close, any excessive garbage will be removed and placed at the curb. Residential customers may purchase garbage bags at the City office and Thriftway Market, or you can request an additional tote at the City office.

Residents will be receiving a “notice to correct” letter regarding overgrown trees. Trees must be trimmed back to the curb or further. The minimum height is 14’ for trees overhanging in the street. Trees overhanging the sidewalks need to be trimmed to a height of 8’.

For one day only, the Neligh swimming pool will be turned over to the dogs! Bring your furry family members to enjoy the pool. Dogs MUST be on a leash before entering the pool. Owners are responsible for their dogs during the swim. Owners will not be allowed to swim during this time.
