Every five years, the Nebraska Library Commission is required to conduct an evaluation of its implementation of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) "Grants to States" program. The LSTA Grants to States Program is a federal program that provides funding to each state based on a population‐driven formula. Decisions regarding how these funds are spent are made at the state level; however, expenditures must be consistent with the purposes and priorities that are established nationally.

As part of our evaluation, our independent evaluator, Dr. Anthony Chow, asks those we serve to answer a survey designed to gather information about the impact that our LSTA‐funded programs and services have had on individuals and libraries in Nebraska. This is an opportunity for communities to give us feedback about how the Library Commission’s activities have affected them. Please help us by promoting the survey. The responses will only be made available to our evaluator – so candid responses are appreciated. Here is the link:

🎭 Calling all actors, storytellers, creators & behind-the-scenes minds!

Something NEW is coming to the Neligh Public Library this fall...

🌙 Join the Library Theatre Troupe! 🎭

In partnership with The New Moon Community Theatre, we're giving kids the chance to learn about theatre by actually creating it!

Throughout the year, our troupe will explore acting and improv, create characters, build props, develop stories, and work together to bring performances and special events to life.

🔎 And we're starting with a MYSTERY...

Our first big project will be an Interactive Library Mystery Fundraiser! Troupe members will become characters in the mystery, help create clues and props, and transform the library into an interactive experience where guests must talk to the actors, gather information, and piece together what happened.

After our mystery is solved, we'll turn our attention toward creating and performing an original holiday show together!🎄🎭

No theatre experience is necessary — just bring your imagination and a willingness to try something new. Whether you love being center stage or you're more interested in characters, stories, props, and what happens behind the scenes, there's a place for you in the troupe.

✨ After School Program is becoming an adventure! ✨

Our After School Program is back this fall — but this year, we're opening the door to something new...

📚 Welcome to WONDER BOUND! 🚪✨

Wonder Bound is a book-based after school program built around imagination, creativity, and PLAY. Each week, we'll open a story and use it as the beginning of an adventure. Kids might become artists, explorers, inventors, builders, storytellers, or something completely unexpected!
