This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re giving our students the chance to tell their own stories.

Meet Michael, a Wilbur Elementary student who is proud to share a little about his Puerto Rican heritage!

When asked what he loves most about it, Michael had an answer: the food—especially anything made with papaya. For him, those flavors are one of the ways he connects with his heritage and shares it with others.

Thank you, Michael, for sharing yours and reminding us that a favorite food can be a meaningful part of who we are.

Today is Technology Staff Appreciation Day!
Our Technology Team keeps Colonial connected, protected and running—even when the problem is solved by turning it off and turning it back on. They reset forgotten passwords, revive frozen screens, fix mysterious Wi-Fi issues and patiently remind us that “123456” is not a secure password.

So, when you see a member of our Tech Team today, please thank them for everything they do. A kind word is greatly appreciated—and much easier than submitting a help desk ticket!

Thank you, Tech Team, for keeping the Power of WE powered up!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month to everyone celebrating! 🎉

This month, we proudly recognize the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

Celebrating one another’s heritage helps us learn, builds understanding, and reminds every student, staff member, and family that their story matters. Our unique backgrounds make our community stronger—and honoring them is an important part of the Power of WE.

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! ❤️
