📅 Reminder, Colonial families!

• There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, September 4, due to a Professional Development Day
• Monday, September 7, schools and offices will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.
• Please also note that the Registration Office will be closed September 4–7.

🛑 🚌 Know when to STOP for buses!

🚌 School buses are back on Delaware roads, and keeping students safe is a responsibility we all share.

As students head back to classrooms, drivers should watch for flashing lights, give buses plenty of space and know when Delaware law requires them to stop.

Every bus carries students who deserve to arrive at school ready to learn and return home safely at the end of the day.

Slow down. Stay alert. Stop for the bus.

Because keeping students safe starts with all of us. 🛑

New Castle County school districts are excited to partner for the 2026–2027 Special Education Parent Council Family Learning Series. These monthly virtual sessions are designed to support, inform, and empower families by sharing helpful resources and information on topics identified by families.

Join us virtually on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:00–7:00 p.m., beginning October 7! We look forward to learning, connecting, and strengthening partnerships with families across New Castle County.

💙🧡🦈 What an amazing first day of school with our 1st-5th grade Sharks! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces filling the halls. Students spent the day getting to know their teachers and classmates, learning new schedules, and settling into a new school year. We are excited for all the learning, growth, fun, and memories that await us. Here’s to a FIN-tastic school year ahead! Stay tuned for more exciting photos as we navigate through our first week of school! 💚💛🦈

Instructions for families attending the Blue Rocks Game/Backpack Giveaway.
The tickets will be available at will-call under their names. Parents will need to bring ID to get their tickets. The backpacks will be distributed at a table in front of our GA seating on the concourse. They will present their tickets to the person at the table and receive their backpack.
