Captain Shahar Gimla zโ€l gave his life defending Israel.

He was critically wounded by an explosive drone while fighting in Lebanon and later died from his injuries.

In an extraordinary act of generosity, his family chose to donate his organs, giving six people a second chance at life, including 7-year-old Bel.

Even in death, Shahar continues to save lives.

While leading a delegation of consuls general from New York in Israel, Consul General Ambassador Ofir Akunis - ืื•ืคื™ืจ ืืงื•ื ื™ืก responded to Iranโ€™s attacks with a clear message:

โ€œWe will not surrender to a cruel enemy and its collaborators, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.โ€

The delegation, including the consuls general of the Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, and Serbia, is continuing its visit as planned.

Cpt. Shahar Gamla, 23, a devoted brother and friend from Natur, succumbed to his wounds after being severely injured during combat in Lebanon.

Sgt. Ohad Yaari, 21, a determined young man from Rehovot known for his heart of gold, fell in Lebanon.

Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Kalomiti, 55, a beloved father of three from Tzur Natan, was killed in a terror attack in Israel.

Israel will continue to protect its people and defend itself against terror.
