We’ve been steadily losing chiropractors in PA, primarily because of this impractical regulatory obstacle that prevents them from delegating work to chiropractic assistants. We’re also seeing many chiropractors retire, and this lack of support for their work creates a competitive disadvantage that prevents new providers from establishing practices here in PA.

I'm excited we’re one step closer to righting this wrong done to our chiropractic care community and to the patients who depend on it for care. And I’m grateful to the co-prime sponsors who helped advocate along the way: my neighbor in Delco, Rep. Jennifer O'Mara, Rep. Tim Brennan from Bucks County; and Rep. John Lawrence from Chester County.

Good morning, District 168! My name is Ethan and I just started as Rep. Borowski's summer intern ☀️ I’m honored to be working for the office of Representative Lisa Borowski and am eager to serve our district this summer! I’ve lived in Delaware County for most of my life, and more specifically have called Middletown Township home for the past 11 years. I am a rising Sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and am Studying Political Science and Pre-Law. Here in Delco, I frequent Riddlewood Swim Club, as I have since I was a kid, I am a Penncrest High School alum, an avid outdoorsman and fish Chester and Ridley Creek, ski the Poconos in the winter, go on motorcycle rides in the spring and summer, and love this wonderful place that we get to call home. I look forward to the great things I can learn during my tenure, and work I can contribute to Representative Borowski’s office

Today marks the beginning of National CPR & AED Awareness Week🚨💗

In 2024, I was thrilled to partner with Rep. Jennifer O'Mara and the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association to secure state funding to furnish the county's VFWs, American Legions, and even some boy scout cabins with AEDs and the necessary training to use them. This project came about after veteran Brian Taylor tragically lost his life due to a sudden heart attack while at Upper Darby American Legion Post 214 assisting with homeless services.

Being trained in CPR and having an AED available can be the difference between life and death. Find a class near you: https://atlas.heart.org/find-class

As I head back to Harrisburg, healthcare access continues to be top of mind as we consider what's the future of healthcare when it comes to medicine, biotech and policy.

Recently, I joined healthcare pioneers, top executives, and our hosts Rep. Bridget M Kosierowski & Rep. Paul Friel to hear what PA’s forecast looks like. The conversation focused on the challenges Pennsylvania faces and explored how innovation and policy changes can address them. I was excited to see the 168th's own Dr. Jonathan A. Epstein who serves as the Dean of the Perelman School of Medicine and Executive Vice President of the University of Pennsylvania for the Health System.

This week, I have legislation running in the house Health Committee to help support biotech startups looking to make PA their home state. I also hope to have progress to report on our hospital protection bill, H.B. 1460, as I continue to work with Senator Tim Kearney to get it to Governor Shapiro’s desk in order to create more oversight for private equity looking to acquire hospitals in PA.

We will need an all-hands-on deck approach to ensure that every Pennsylvanian has access to high quality, affordable healthcare and I am grateful to my colleagues for hosting this important event.

Earlier this week, I had the honor of emceeing the 14th annual Making a Difference Awards! Honorees and their families gathered at Radnor High School to celebrate students and educators in Delco’s school districts who demonstrate exceptional support, acceptance, and understanding to ensure the inclusion of classmates of all abilities as well as students who have persevered and overcome challenges to be successful within an inclusive setting.

This was definitely a night of Delco pride for all our public schools! It was heartwarming to see students of all ages and adults honored for their care, compassion, and empathy and to hear about the ways they inspire inclusivity for their friends who are differently abled. It was an uplifting evening and something I really needed. Thank you to all the families and award recipients who represent the very best of our communities.

These awards are given by the DCIU’s Delaware County Right to Education Local Task Force and led by parent LaTonia Lee. It was so nice to see Radnor Township School District School Board Member Susan Stern, RHS Principal Dr. Mac and Superintendent Ken Batchelor. Congratulations to all the honorees, including the 168th’s own Ann VonHertsenberg!

(Photo creds to the lovely Rita Waters - thank you😘)

It was a perfect night for the season’s first Newtown Square Farmers Market at Garrett Williamson and Urban Roots Farm!

Flowers, sourdough, U Pick strawberries, music, fresh produce and fabulous friends! It was so great to see Cheryl Grosso - Newtown Township Supervisor and her mom, Candy; Edgmont Supervisor Annie Thorne and Mackenzie and Connor; the brains behind the farmers market Pam Purser; the fearless leader of the Newtown Square Historical Society Cathy Cavalier and Newtown’s indomitable Paul Seligson!

Such a great way to start the summer!
