Nobleboro residents and Lincoln County Fire Departments: we have a few items up for grabs after doing some fall cleaning.

All items are things we have multiple versions of, so these need to find a new home. All items should be in working order but for free, you may need to check it over yourself 🙂

-dump tank - CLAIMED
-electric smoke ejector - CLAIMED
-extension cords - CLAIMED
-extension cord reel - CLAIMED
-engine Jaffrey valve - CLAIMED
-large flashlights and charger - CLAIMED
-scoop stretcher
-traction splint
-1 3/4” nozzle -CLAIMED
-assorted spanners

Send us a message if you need any of these items. Please be patient and we’ll take the messages in the order they come in. We need all items gone this week because they are taking up a space in the bay.

Our new Utility 1 truck has officially entered service with the department! This truck replaces a mini-pumper at about 1/4 the cost and will be far more useful to the department. It carries 250 gallons of water in a forestry skid for use on vegetation fires, a full complement of medical equipment and various tools. In the winter with the skid removed, it will hold our cold water rescue equipment.

Thank you to the residents of Nobleboro who approved the purchase of this truck at our annual town meeting. Your support is always appreciated and as always, we pledge to be good stewards of the equipment you purchase for your fire department.

Minnehata Fire Company (Nobleboro) is looking for a rescue boat or similar.

We are trying to replace our small zodiac style boat with another inflatable with an outboard. If anyone has something they might want to part with, please let us know. We are a 501c3 organization so anyone willing to sell at a reduced cost could potentially receive a tax break for the discounted price.

Thank you to everyone who reported the many downed lines and trees in the road. Nobleboro Fire and Rescue along with the road commissioner have been working since the first call came in at 2:13 PM came in to ensure everyone's safety. Thankfully we are looking ready to wrap things up soon.

Currently only Snow Road is closed (East Pond Road is now open both lanes).

Please be sure to let us know if the storm has blocked your road - sometimes the side roads don't get reported right away.

Firefighter Fitness Class at the Nobleboro Fire Station Thursday July 16th at 6:00 pm. First responders and family members welcome!

This week we will focus on body weight exercises - bring a yoga mat or a towel!

***Class didn't happen due to the storm and almost every firefighter in the county being out working. We'll meet next week!***

We work with Poland spring every year to provide water to our firefighters. We appreciate their donation. We use a lot of water for hydration during emergencies and it’s a huge help to our dept as our budget is very tight.

Firefighter fitness class this Thursday, June 25 at the Nobleboro Fire Station. We'll be doing an SCBA workout, so bring your gear and a water bottle - hose drags, equipment carries, striking tool work, etc. Great workout for practical firefighter strength and fitness.

Family members welcome - we'll include alternate events for anyone without gear.
