September 2020

The Alameda County Regional Auto Theft Task Force (ACRATT) is comprised of law enforcement agents from Alameda County Sheriff’s office (ACSO), Oakland Police Department (OPD), California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the Alameda County Probation Department (ACPD). Their mission is to investigate, locate and recover stolen vehicles and apprehend those who committed the thefts.

The ACRATT team received a Be on the Look Out (BOLO), broadcast that a truck and a trailer containing a “one -of -a -kind”, Aston Martin valued at over $130,000, was stolen from the San Jose area during the CZU Fire Complex evacuation.

DPO Enrique Cisneros received information from a retired CHP officer who was a former member of the ACRATT, advising that the trailer may possibly be in the Alameda County area. After hours of surveillance, DPO Cisneros located the stolen trailer at the Extended Day America parking lot in Emeryville. The Aston Martin was still inside the trailer.

Thanks to DPO Cisneros for his tenacity, the car and trailer was returned to its rightful owner.
