10/21/2020

One of the best ways to prevent and eliminate illegal dumping is to educate the community on how to properly dispose of their unwanted items and garbage. Another way is to stop illegal dumping is to educate the community on how to report dumping in their neighborhoods.

Our Oaktown PROUD campaign highlights Education by informing people to:
Use the bulky pickup appointment provided by Waste Management: www.oaklandrecycles.com/bulky-pickup-services
Report illegal dumping when and where they see it to OAK 311 by dialing 311 or (510) 615-5566, using OAK 311 app, or through the www.oaktownproud.com website.

Want to give us feedback about illegal dumping? Fill out this survey: https://oaklandca.formstack.com/forms/illegal_dumping_survey Your input helps inform us on how we can best improve our services.

Please visit www.oaktownproud.com for more information about illegal dumping.

I can only imagine what the Oakland agenda is. I stay in the north oakland area and bumping through the streets with my aging mother is a daily occurance..
CPS: "Revamping Slavery"?
PUBLICLY.. Round up all agents of CPS and condemn them and bring these " kidnapping terrorist" to justice and to ruin
Oakland 83rd & International On arrived to the property to be paralyzed by a Garbage, Cars Blocking Driveway and Appliances just like a landfill space. The Mayors Office assured the owner in a Email last Monday Sept. 13, 2020 that they would clean up the rest of garbage only after the City came out the previous week and only dealing with 2 cars and leaving One Car with all of the Garbage. The Car in the driveway is also blocking the sidewalk to the property. I found a little Old lady trying to collect trash and haul it away herself! The Odor from garbage I could not even stand I also saw needles and feces. The owner and other people in the area have reported the matter time and time again This matter has been going on for the last 4 MONTHS. A letter with a fine put on the property tax bill for owner to pay for something that she has no control of WOW. She and other have Called/Emailed Larry Reid the District 7 Councilman with no response on various occasions this is his 4 term "SHOULD THERE BE A 5TH". 4 months with People trying to get something done well my thought is Kids, Seniors and Everyday People have to walk in the street to get the car subjecting to being Hit and the needles and syringes a Accident waiting to happen. Oakland accepts open dumps in their neighborhoods as a fixture of the landscape, to be seen but somehow ignored.

Aug 28: In celebration of the hard work, achievements and resilience of those who came before us, a diverse group of Bay Area musicians came together to create, “STAND UP.” We hope the song will serve as a rallying cry; inspiring people to work together to improve our communities, to speak out against racism and injustice, and to vote. Please help us spread the word by sharing the word.
Who ever approved Telegraph between 40th and 51st street becoming a one lane road each direction is an idiot. The Traffic now is ridiculous and you are going to cost businesses money because I and others won't be going over there any more. The Gentrification of Oakland is ridiculous....
Your mayor doesn't have a spine by allowing these rioters to destroy and remove our history
