Case Update: Shaun Christian has pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit bank fraud and money laundering in connection with the now-defunct First National Bank of Lindsay (FNBL).

Case Update: Jaden Bryce Smith, age 26, of Stilwell, entered a guilty plea to one count of Aggravated Sexual Abuse in Indian Country. He faces up to life in prison and a $250k fine.

🚨PSA: FBI Oklahoma City has seen a recent influx of bad actors conducting a government impersonation/financial institution scam.

The hallmark of this scam involves a phone call from someone posing as a banking representative, claiming the victim's information has been used illegally to purchase a fi***rm. The caller then insists on transferring the victim to an alleged "FBI agent" investigating the fraudulent purchase. In some cases, the calls appear to come from FBI Oklahoma City's legitimate main office number, a technique known as Spoofing.

These calls are fraudulent. The FBI will never call or email private citizens to demand payment, personal information, threaten arrest, or ask to communicate via an encrypted application. Recipients should hang up immediately and report the interaction to the FBI’s Internet Crimes Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov.
