The Oklahoma Highway Patrol protects this state in more ways than many people realize.

While traffic enforcement is one part of our mission, a Trooper's work goes far beyond issuing citations. We are prepared to respond to any incident, anywhere in Oklahoma, and we stand ready to assist any agency or community that needs our resources.

In addition to keeping Oklahoma's roadways safe, our Troopers patrol our state's lakes, investigate major crimes and officer-involved incidents, conduct criminal interdiction operations, provide preventative and response operations with our Bomb Squad, deploy our Tactical Team during high-risk incidents, provide dignitary protection for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and their families, operate an air wing, ensure commercial motor vehicles are operating safely, and patrol our highways with our Motor Unit.

Behind every one of these specialized teams are Troopers with a shared commitment: serving the people of Oklahoma.

• Hear honest conversations about balancing family life and a law enforcement career
