The Wildlife Department receives no general state tax appropriations and is funded primarily by sportsmen through the sale of hunting and fishing licenses. Oklahoma City has updated its waterfowl hunting rules to improve hunter access and overall safety. Blind sites at Lake Stanley Draper and the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge can now be reserved on a daily basis, giving hunters more flexibility and clearer access to designated hunting areas.

🌟 A winner has been chosen 🌟 for the annual Oklahoma Waterfowl Stamp Design Contest!

After three rounds of voting, this acrylic painting by Ryan Rickaby of Wisconsin was selected to be featured on Oklahoma's 2027-28 state waterfowl stamp.

While a physical copy of the state duck stamp is no longer a requirement for hunting, it continues to be purchased by hunters and collectors every year. Its revenue helps fund the Wildlife Department's wetland habitat conservation activities.

With the recent acquisition of 377 acres of wetland habitat, Drummond Flat WMA now offers more opportunities to hunt on public lands. ODWC partnered with Ducks Unlimited and Quail Forever to acquire the land, allowing us to protect critical habitat for waterfowl, upland game and other migratory birds.
