⭐ Proof of residency required. Unincorporated Butte County residents only. Bring your mailed postcard, if you received one.
⭐ Follow the Traffic Flow map to help prevent traffic on Palermo Rd.
⭐ Carefully review the Accepted and Unacceptable Waste Items List.
⭐ Unaccepted items will not be accepted.
⭐ Participants must unload and dispose their items without assistance from staff.

- Start from North Villa Ave

We were absolutely blown away by the response from our Palermo community! 💚

82 participants and 92 trips made for an incredible first Palermo Community Cleanup, and every bin delivered was filled! We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible turnout.

📢 Since Palermo showed us just how valuable this resource is, we’ve arranged for a 2nd Palermo Community Cleanup! A separate post with all the event details will be coming soon.

A huge thank you to our waste haulers, Crown Metals and Recology Butte Colusa Counties, for being incredible partners and helping make these community cleanups possible. We truly appreciate their support and involvement!

Free Green Waste Disposal for Butte County Residents!

Reduce wildfire risk and dispose of your residential green waste FREE on designated dates from August through October at the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility.

✅ For Butte County residents living in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI)

📍 Neal Road Recycling & Waste Facility

🕖 7:00 am – 3:00 pm on designated collection days. Please bring a valid ID showing you live within the WUI.

🚫 Not accepted: Commercial green waste, stumps, rocks, boards, trash, or tree branches larger than 24 inches around.

Before you head out, please review the event flyer and Traffic Flow Map.

📍 Traffic Flow:
➡️ Entrance is Railroad Avenue only.
➡️ Exit onto Palermo Road only.
➡️ Please follow the designated traffic flow to help keep the event safe and organized.
