Earlier in the week, K9 Officer Elsasser and Bruno hosted night shift officers from neighboring agencies for a "roll call training" session on how the K9s can be utilized in high-risk traffic stops.

"Roll call trainings" are short educational segments that happen during shifts to keep officers updated on things like current events, legal changes, officer safety and wellness, or department policies.

Thanks to our partners at the La Vista Police Department and Sarpy County Sheriff's Office for participating with us and always being willing to collaborate and keep our communities safe!

Earlier this week, the department was visited by a man who came in for assistance with a scam he had uncovered. Over the course of the conversation, we realized that not only was he one of the "D"s in , but in fact, the Robert Dreessen who served as Papillion's City Engineer from 1974-2010 -- check out his name on that 2005 plaque that hangs in our entryway! 😊 still remains a valued partner of the Papillion community.
