The Perry Village Police Department would like to thank all of our students, staff, and community partners who helped make today’s Mock Crash Event a success.

It was a tremendous collaborative effort between our district, local safety forces, Perry Joint Fire District, Ohio State Highway Patrol, our Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) students, Metro Life Flight, King’s Towing & Recovery, and University Hospitals.

We appreciate everyone’s time, effort, and commitment to helping provide this meaningful and impactful learning experience for our students.

04/24/2026

The Perry Village Police Department would like to inform you that tomorrow morning, our SADD students, in collaboration with local safety personnel, will present a Mock Crash demonstration in the high school bus loop.

This pre-prom educational event is designed to remind students of the serious dangers of texting, drinking, and driving, as well as the importance of making safe decisions when riding in a vehicle.

The demonstration will simulate, in real time, the aftermath of a car crash, highlighting the impact on individuals involved in an alcohol-related accident. While the scene is staged, it is intended to provide a powerful and meaningful learning experience for our students.

Please note that setup will begin today at 3:30 p.m. and will include vehicles made to appear as though they were involved in a serious crash. If you happen to see these vehicles on campus, there is no cause for concern.

If you are a high school parent concerned about your child attending this event, please contact your student’s guidance counselor.
