Today, we celebrate the incredible barbers across Arizona who keep us looking sharp with flawless fades, tapers, line-ups, and shaves. Beyond the chair, you build community, forge connections, and inspire confidence every day.

World Barber Day isn't just about style; it’s about giving back. Founded in 2017 by Hugh & Conor McAllister, this global event honors the legacy of medieval "barber-surgeons" dating back to 1096. That history gives us the date 16/09 (September 16th), when barbers worldwide use their craft as a force for good.

Today, participating shops go about business as usual, but also give back to local causes or charities.

A massive THANK YOU to all licensed barbers in Arizona for your skill, heart, and dedication. We see you, and we appreciate you! ✂️

Each week, our small but mighty team answers calls, processes licenses, and conducts inspections to protect public health and support Arizona’s beauty professionals.

With over 100,000 licensed pros in the state, we’re proud to support Arizona’s thriving beauty industry! 💅💇‍♂️💈

⚠️( If your renewal seems to be stuck in limbo, please log in to the Licensing Portal to see if you have any incomplete tasks. Failing to answer the renewal questions, upload proof of citizenship and a photo, and pay your fees can result in longer wait times.)

Beginning today, cosmetologists who work in more than one participating state can get a multistate license to practice seamlessly across 13 states.

Join us for in-person support:

📅Monday 9/21 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m

📍 DES Building, 1701 N Fourth St, Flagstaff, AZ 86004

Board staff will be on-site to answer your questions, assist with renewals, process renewal payments, and even take your photo for your license.

📋For help with your license, please bring an unexpired, government-issued photo ID.

Acceptable documents include:
-Arizona Driver's License (issued after 1996)
-"Real ID" Driver’s License (star in the corner)
-U.S. Passport
-U.S. Naturalization Document
-Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
