Remember to shop small today, tomorrow, and everyday🛍️When I’m not in Harrisburg, I’m shopping around town in neighborhoods like Lawrenceville. From Lawrenceville Market House to Wildcard and Ivys Doggie Ice Cream Pawlor, there’s a little something for everyone on Butler Street and beyond! These spaces make up the fabric of our community—I’m proud to continue supporting them 🫧

I’m proud to bring $350,000 back to the district to support critical housing projects in our communities.

As Pennsylvania faces a growing housing crisis, this investment will help more neighbors access safe, stable, and dignified housing—while connecting them to the resources they need to thrive. Everyone deserves a place to call home, and this funding a meaningful step to make that a reality.

Our neighborhoods can’t wait any longer.

Unchecked short-term rentals are disrupting communities—and we need real, statewide standards now. My legislation sets clear, baseline rules for temporary lodging while still giving municipalities the flexibility to go further when needed.

It should never take violence or tragedy to force action. We’ve seen the consequences of doing nothing. It’s time to protect our neighborhoods and put commonsense regulations in place.

Short-term rentals through companies like Airbnb have proliferated across Pittsburgh's residential neighborhoods. Officials are proposing regulation— and some residents say time is of the essence.

Do you pay your taxes? Yeah. So billionaires should pay their fair share too.

Aging bridges. Congested corridors. Long-overdue roadway upgrades. Pennsylvania has some of the oldest infrastructure in the country—full stop. From Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, our communities deserve efficient, cost-effective solutions to modernize the transportation systems we rely on every day.

That’s why I introduced legislation to expand eligibility for public-private partnerships (P3) for transportation projects across our counties. This approach will help ease the financial burden on local governments while ensuring critical repairs are completed on time and on budget.

I’m grateful to my colleagues in the Pennsylvania House for unanimously passing this bill on Monday. Now, it’s time for the Senate to send it to Governor Shapiro’s desk.

We’re the neighborhood of Mr. Rogers—one where we choose kindness, compassion, and care for one another, just as we are.

Pride is a celebration of identity and a reminder to keep building communities where everyone feels safe, valued, and seen. Let’s keep showing up, speaking out, and lifting one another up.

Happy Pride, Pittsburgh! It’s a beautiful month in the neighborhood 💛🖤

As costs continue to rise for Pennsylvania families, we need to have serious conversations about how we fund the public services that keep our communities strong. That includes exploring ways to ensure billionaires and some of the largest corporations in the world pay their fair share, so we can invest in our schools, public transportation, infrastructure, housing, and other priorities that benefit all Pennsylvanians.

I was proud to join my collegauges and advocates from OnePA yesterday to call for a tax system that works for working people—not just the wealthiest corporations and individuals.
