I-376 Parkway East Weekend Lane Restrictions Begin Friday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions on I-376 (Parkway East) in Churchill, Wilkinsburg, Edgewood and Swissvale boroughs, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night through Monday morning, October 16-19 weather permitting.

I-376 in the westbound direction will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between the Churchill (Exit 79B) and Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchanges from 9:00 PM Friday night continuously through 5:00 AM Monday morning.

Additionally, I-376 each direction will be reduced to a single lane of traffic as needed between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange from 9:00 PM Saturday to noon Sunday.

If work concludes ahead of schedule, the restrictions will be lifted early.

Crews will conduct approach reconstruction, painting, steel repair, and spall repair work.

We are asking our residents to take the Southwestern Pennsylavania Commission's Built to Thrive Survey: https://engage-mbakerintl.com/spc .

This public survey will greatly inform the way SPC and the entire region focus their efforts for the next several decades, so they need to hear from as many people as possible

The next Long Range Plan is called Built To Thrive: The Long Range Plan for Southwestern Pennsylvania. Their goal is to craft and then execute a plan which shapes the region’s shared vision around transportation, economic development, and a host of other areas.

Their target audience is ANYONE of ANY age, ANY profession, and ANY background, as long as you live or work in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The survey will be open through October 31st!

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) wants your help to guide the way our region invests funds now and in the future.
