S.A.F.E. Inc. As I Am S.A.F.E., Inc. is an organization supporting families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Our membership is comprised of individuals with ASD and those who love them. We provide members, families, caretakers, and professionals with support and information pertaining to the latest interventions and educational practices, therapies, and available programs for individuals with ASD. We also provide opportunities for those living with ASD to overcome social barriers, enjoying group and leis

PUBERTY - IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME

Is your child with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) approaching puberty?

Do you feel nervous, unprepared, or unsure how to talk about body changes, hygiene, and boundaries?

You are not alone. Join us for a supportive, judgment-free workshop to help you gain the confidence to teach your child about their changing body.

What We Will Cover (Based on Elevatus Modules):

* Breaking Down Barriers: Why we feel awkward and how to overcome it.
* Puberty 101: Physical/emotional changes and how to explain them simply.
* Anatomically Correct Language: Why using proper terms reduces confusion.
* Practical Tips: Managing hygiene, menstruation, and behavior in a "nuts-and-bolts" way.
* Safety & Boundaries: Teaching your child to be the "boss of their body".
This session is designed to help you, as the parent, feel more skillful, comfortable, and prepared.
