is the perfect time to chat about safety with your family.

In today’s digital world, it’s almost impossible for parents to monitor every interaction their children have online. Start by building open communication and trust, so your child feels comfortable coming to you with questions or concerns.

Be sure to follow the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse for more internet safety tips throughout the month.

For the months of May and June for our “Hair Because We Care” Campaign, Sheriff Favro waived the department’s grooming standards to benefit the Relay for Life event that’s taking place in Plattsburgh on June 13th. The correction officers and deputies that participated were able to raise just over $3,000.00 for Tammy Villanueva and her team! 💵

With Sheriff Favro's approval of relaxed grooming standards, members from both the corrections division and patrol division were given the opportunity to participate in this effort to honor those we have lost to cancer, celebrate the survivors and help fund cancer research. Male members are allowed to grow beards and female members are allowed to wear ponytails. 🧔🏻‍♂️ 👱🏼‍♀️

Sheriff Favro along with members from both the patrol and corrections divisions are pictured here with Tammy and her team after handing them their donation. 💜 We always encourage everyone to attend the Relay for Life each year held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds to support this event and our local community members, friends and loved ones.

June is National Healthy Homes Month — an opportunity to educate, raise awareness, motivate action, and build networks and partnerships in support of healthier home environments for everyone.

When abuse and violence are present, a home isn't healthy for the people who live there. 💜 Ending domestic violence will help create safer, healthier homes in our communities.
