Recently we held our annual Department elections and last night the previous terms ended and the new terms begin.

Representatives of the Board of Fire Commissioners were present and Chairwoman Steiner conducted the swear ins.

We thank Ex-Chief Chris Guerin for his 5 Years in the Chiefs Office. And wish him well as he and his wife Megan just welcomed a new baby girl into the world this year.

Taking the helm for this upcoming year will be another 3rd Generation member.

We congratulate Peter Meyer Jr on becoming our new Chief of Department.

Peter comes from a long line of firematic family. His Grandfather served as Chief and his Father and Uncle served as Captains. His wife and brother also served with him in the fire service along with much of his extended family and in-laws continuing the rich history of our communities and the fire service.

Assisting Chief Meyer will be New First Assistant Chief Brian Manning and Newly Elected Second Assistant Chief Michael Geller.

Assistant Chief Manning is a second generation member. Brians father served as a Captain in the department.

Assistant Chief Geller has been a member of the fire service for many years. His son and brother also currently serve in the department.

Completing our Chiefs line is our E.M.S. Chief David Neubert, M.D. who has been reappointed and continues to serve in a variety of medical roles.

All of our company officers were sworn in also including our Captains and Lieutenants.

We thank all those who have served and welcome in and thank all those who have stepped up to serve.
