This is a co-ed program for children in the 1st-6th grades. Registration is open now through August 7. Games will be tentatively scheduled to run from September 8 to October 15.

Some big road projects are being done this week! On the listed days, the roads will be closed from 8 a.m. until up to 3:30 p.m. Roads will open as the treatment cures and they become passable. All vehicles will need to be removed from the roads or they will be towed. Certain areas will allow temporary bike lane parking, or you can use other side streets. Please notify or reschedule all maintenance, deliveries or contract work on your affected date.

A sad day at Providence City as we send Shane Hansen off into retirement!

From a seasonal employee after high school to the cemetery sexton we all know and love, Shane has dedicated more than 30 years to Providence. His work and service has been so impactful, and he will be greatly missed.

Look for Hansen Lane the next time you’re at the Providence Cemetery! We wish Shane the best (and send good luck to the many more ducks that will be hunted in his new-found free time)! Thanks for 30 incredible years! 🥳

We have seen an increase in contamination in both recycling and green waste bins citywide. Please place the PROPER materials in each bin. If our drivers see that your bin is contaminated, they WILL NOT empty it.

The city website has detailed lists of what can and cannot go in the blue and green bins. You can find that information at www.providencecity.com/public-works/page/garbage-recycling-and-green-waste-information. If you have questions, please reach out to the Public Works office at (435) 753-0313. We also have stickers at the city office that can be placed inside the lid of your recycling bins as a reminder.

Please help us in our endeavor to recycle and dispose of green waste properly.
