We're proud to announce that we have officially completed our hand count audit of the 2026 Republican Primary! ✅

A huge thank you to our County Auditor, Matt Funk, and Mark Hurd of the County Council for taking the time to participate in this important process.

Audits like this are a vital part of our election process. They help ensure accuracy, build public trust, and confirm that every vote is counted correctly. When our community can have confidence in the integrity of our elections, democracy works the way it should.

“Twas the night before Election Day, and throughout Cache Valley,
Ballots sat waiting to join tomorrow’s tally.

The candidates campaigned, the signs lined the street,
While election workers made all preparations complete.

The ballots were sorted, the drop boxes checked,
The poll books were ready, the voting booths decked.

But one thing’s important, so please take heed—
If your ballot’s still sitting at home, here’s what you need:

Don’t put it in the mail and hope for the best,
Election Day delivery is no longer the test.

To count in this election, your ballot must be received,
By 8:00 PM Tuesday—or it cannot be retrieved.

So visit a drop box, or head to the polls,
And make your voice heard before 8 o’clock tolls.

One last thing to remember before heading out the door,
Sign your envelope with care and include your last four.

Need to cast your ballot in person? We’ve got you covered too—
The Cache County Event Center is ready for you.

From 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM, come on by,
Our election team will be there to help and say hi.

Sleep well tonight, my Cache County friends,
Tomorrow’s the day democracy depends.”

Cache County voters, this one’s for you. 🎶

To quote George Strait… “Check yes or no.”

On your ballot return envelope, if you want to continue receiving your ballot by mail, make sure you check “YES.”

If you check “NO” or leave it blank, you’ll need to vote in person starting in 2029.

So before you ride away into the sunset thinking your ballot will just show up like a country love song… take a second, look at your return envelope, and check YES if you want to keep voting by mail.

Because when it comes to your ballot, we really do need to know!

📣Attention Cache County!📣

Your ballot return envelope may look a little different this year!

When you vote by mail, make sure you complete both steps on your ballot return envelope:

Sign your envelope
Write the last 4 digits of either your Social Security number or your driver license number

Think of it like two-factor authentication for your ballot. Your signature helps us verify your ballot, and the last 4 digits help confirm your identity.

Taking a few extra seconds to double-check your envelope helps make sure your ballot can be counted without delays. Thank you for helping us keep Cache County elections secure, accurate, and transparent!🗳️🗳️

🗳️✅ IT'S OFFICIAL! ✅🗳️

The Cache County 2026 Republican Primary Logic and Accuracy Test is COMPLETE! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to the members of the public who came out to observe the process. Your presence helps keep our elections transparent, trustworthy, and rock-solid. We love seeing engaged citizens in action! 👏❤️

So… what IS a Logic and Accuracy Test? 🤔

Great question! Before every election, we put our voting equipment through its paces by running a batch of test ballots through the tabulators. We already know exactly what the results should be, so if the machines spit back the same numbers — boom! 💥 We know they're counting accurately and the logic is working perfectly.

Why does it matter? 🔍

Because YOUR vote deserves to be counted correctly. This test ensures:
✔️ Every oval is read accurately
✔️ Every race is tallied correctly
✔️ Every machine is election-ready
✔️ Every voter can have confidence in the results

📬 MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 📬

Ballots will start hitting mailboxes June 2nd! Keep an eye out, fill it out, and make your voice heard. 🇺🇸

Cache County Elections was proud to be represented at Utah Women Making History Day at the Utah State Capitol. Cache County Clerk Bryson Behm and Senior Deputy Clerk Kyla Doyle (dressed in her Suffragette Best!) joined the Lieutenant Governor’s Office as they helped students learn about Seraph Young, the first woman to legally vote in the United States and a symbol of the state’s historic role in the women’s suffrage movement. Hundreds of 4th–7th grade students visited the Capitol rotunda to explore the stories of Utah women who helped shape our state and nation.
